Will Hughs - President and CEO, Americas, Telstra Global
Will Hughs is President & CEO for Telstra Global Americas based in California, where he is responsible for driving strategy, sales, marketing, engineering and operations efforts throughout North and South America.
Will is a thought-leader with over 15 years experience in California’s high tech industry and the global telecommunications arena and brings extensive technical and commercial expertise to the company.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Will was Senior Vice President, Product and Design for Telstra Incorporated and was responsible for the marketing, engineering and commercial functions for the Americas region.
As SVP, Product and Design, he also worked with Telstra Global's Global Product teams to plan strategy and localize product sets and solutions for the US Service Provider and Enterprise markets.
Will began his technology career in the Systems Integrator space as an engineer designing Microsoft and Cisco solutions for large enterprises based in the San Francisco Bay area. He joined Telstra in 1999 as a Sales Engineer in the San Francisco office where his knowledge of managed services led the effort in the rapid growth of WAN outsourcing deals.
Since then he has held a variety of Sales and Engineering roles, including Regional Business Manager, Director of Engineering and Director of Technical Business Development.
Amy Rosen - Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Americas
Amy Rosen is Senior Vice President, General Counsel for Telstra Global Americas based in New York, where she is responsible for the Legal and Human Resources departments.
Prior to joining Telstra, Amy worked for AT&T Corp. as a lawyer in its Business Services Division. In her eight years at AT&T, she supported a variety of AT&T's data and internet-related businesses, domestically and internationally. She was also involved in acquisitions and divestitures, sales, procurement, software licensing and establishing joint venture arrangements.
Amy started her career at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York, as a Corporate Associate, working primarily on mergers and acquisitions for media companies.
Jorge Reis - Chief Operating Officer, Americas
Jorge Reis is the Chief Operating Officer for Telstra Global, Americas based in New York. Jorge works closely with Will Hughs, President and CEO, to achieve the goals and objectives of the business by managing the day-to-day operating activities. He has direct responsibility for pre-post Sales Engineering, Product, Commercial, and Customer Service. This allows him to oversee every customer touch point from product design to customer service.
Jorge joined Telstra Global, Americas over ten years ago, and prior to becoming COO, he was Senior Vice President of Operations, where he was responsible for the direct implementation of corporate service delivery policies and procedures.
Wirawan Krisman - Chief Financial Officer, Americas
Wirawan Krisman is the Chief Financial Officer for Telstra Global, Americas based in New York. As CFO, he is responsible for preparation of the financial statements, reporting, annual budgets, cash management, tax and regulatory compliance. Wirawan also helps direct Telstra Global, Americas financial goals and assists our CEO in implementing strategies to ensure business objectives are met.
Wirawan joined Telstra in March 2000 in the original San Francisco office headquarters and oversaw the transfer of finance and accounting functions to the New York office.
Prior to being promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer, Wirawan held the position of Vice President of Finance, where he oversaw finance and accounting operations as well as billing and collections. He was then responsible for ensuring the accuracy and publication of financial statements, preparing annual budgets and ensuring financial policies, procedures and controls are being established and adhered to.
Maria Ramos - Vice President, Sales, Americas
Maria Ramos is Vice President for Sales at Telstra Global Americas based in New York, where she is responsible for managing and directing initiatives to drive sales of Telstra’s products and services portfolio in the Americas market to existing customers and emerging prospects through direct and indirect sales channels.
Maria has 15 years experience working within the telecommunications industry with extensive experience in sales negotiations with Fortune 500 Enterprise customers managing multi-million dollar revenue portfolios
She joined Telstra in 2006 as Channel Manager, Wholesale Markets for Telstra Global Americas. During this tenure, she was responsible for maintaining annual revenue, and generating new, annualized business revenue with International Carriers throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Maria then went on to fulfil the role of Sales Director for Telstra Global Americas with a focus on driving annual revenue through the identification, qualification and closure of new business opportunities for Multinational Enterprise Customers as well as System Integrators, Agents and Reseller customers in North and South America.
Before joining Telstra, Maria was Sales Director for Wholesale Markets at Vanco USA-LLC Direct in Chicago, where she worked with International Carriers throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Maria has also fulfilled a number of senior sales roles at Verizon Communications - where she was responsible for revenue retention and generation through the sale of complex Verizon Network solutions - and Global Crossing Financial Markets, where she directed teams at a regional and global level covering North America, Europe and Asia.
Jansen Chiu - Vice President, Sales, Americas
Jansen Chiu is Vice President of Sales at Telstra Global, Americas, based in California. His primary responsibility is to drive sales of Telstra’s products and services portfolio in the Americas market to existing customers and emerging prospects through direct and indirect sales channels. In this role, Jansen will lead the West Coast Enterprise sales team and help develop new product strategies.
Prior to joining Telstra Global, Jansen served both technical and sales roles for nearly 7 years at Pacnet including Enterprise Sales Director where he was responsible for providing leadership and direct management of the US enterprise sales team. His focus was on developing new business models and team structure geared towards large enterprise and service provider customer requirements, as well as guiding product solutions as a key member within the IP-Steering Committee.
Jansen has 18 years of data network experience and has been in the Telecommunications industry for more than 12 years with strong focus towards enterprise sales and operations management. Throughout his career, Jansen has held many technical and design positions and holds a solid understanding of the telecommunications industry.
He holds a San Francisco State University Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business.
Michael Latimer - Vice President, Global Service Provider Sales, Americas
Michael Latimer is Vice President Global Service Provider Sales at Telstra Global Americas based in Washington State, where he is responsible for developing and managing service provider sales activities at all levels in the Americas market. He also provides senior support to the Head of the Global Alliance & Partnerships team.
Michael has nearly 20 years experience working within the field of technical consulting and sales, and has a demonstrated ability to build and develop opportunities across domestic and global territories through direct and indirect sales channels.
He joined Telstra in early 2009 as Senior Channel Manger for the Service Provider Group with a responsibility to sell high end capacity services to Carriers and Channel Partners. Michael also managed the relationships between Telstra and Level3 Communications, Time Warner Telecom, Hawaii Telecom, Guam Telecom, Microsoft, Virtela Communications, Yahoo! and Facebook.
Before joining Telstra, Michael held the role of Director CDN & IP Transit sales for Pacnet where he was responsible for selling IP Transit, MPLS, IRU Capacity, CDN Services, Managed Network Services, EIPL/IPL and Co-location to Fortune 500 media companies across the world.
Michael has also fulfilled a number of senior sales roles at NTT Communications, SBC Telecom, AT&T Global Markets, Cable & Wireless and Global Crossing
