Reachout - the latest news, views and analysis from Telstra International |
 |
 |
Welcome to the February edition of Reachout – Telstra International’s monthly online newsletter featuring the latest news, views and industry analysis.
I am very pleased to announce that Telstra International Group recently signed an agreement with PCCW to
|
restructure the assets in our 50/50 joint venture, REACH, as part of an ongoing review to drive shareholder value. This restructure will give Telstra greater control over the platform used to deliver end-to-end services, improving the quality of service offered to enterprise and global service provider customers. We will provide you with a further update of this restructure in the March edition.
Telstra’s managed network and hosting services have been chosen by production company Endemol UK to help maximise the efficiency and security of its IT infrastructure, while allowing for continued business growth.
We launch our exciting Managed WAN Optimisation service to existing IP VPN customers in EMEA with the offer of a free traffic profiling and measurement trial.
Our interview with Jorge Reis, newly appointed COO for Telstra International, Americas reveals his vision and the key focus of his role.
In this issue, we also report on the impact of Telstra’s connection to the CENX Ethernet Exchange in Los Angeles; publish the second in the Telstra-Gartner co-branded newsletter series; and look ahead to the Step Change 2011 ‘tower running’ challenge.
Finally, we bring you a case study demonstrating how Telstra’s global Virtual Private Line Service (VPLS) has helped Media Network Services dramatically improve the quality of service offered to its customers.
Yours sincerely
Tarek Robbiati
GMD, Telstra International Group
