Telstra International Group (TIG) today announced the appointment of Phil Mottram to the position of Executive Director, Global Sales of Telstra International (TI), effective 15 November 2010.
Mr Mottram will report to Tarek Robbiati, TIG’s Group Managing Director.
Mr. Robbiati said the appointment represented the end of an extensive international search for the right leader to drive the Telstra International managed services and connectivity business to the next level.
Prior to joining TI, Mr Mottram was the Director of Sales for BT’s Openreach, having been with BT in various senior executive sales positions over the past nine year and was also the European Sales director for Sprint and spent seven years working in sales with AT&T.
"Hailing from the United Kingdom, Phil has nearly 20 years experience in the telecommunications industry and is a world-class experienced sales executive," Mr Robbiati said.

Over the past year we have worked hard to ensure we have the right people on the ground to continue to grow our business. Phil’s appointment is an integral part that growth plan. " Mr. Robbiati said.
Mr Mottram holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Information Systems and will be based in Hong Kong.
