What are cookies?

We use small text files placed on your computer called ‘cookies’ to collect standard log and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. We use this information to analyse how visitors use our website and to compile statistical reports on website activity. You can set your computer to reject cookies, but this may affect your ability to use certain parts of our websites. Except for information you specifically provide to us, we do not automatically collect any other information.

What types of cookies do we use?

We use two types of cookies on our websites:

Google Analytics Cookies

Cookie deployed

_utma (expires in 730 days)
_utmb (expires in 30 minutes)
_utmz (expires in 182 days)

Google Analytics cookies are used to collect information about how visitors use our websites. We use the information to compile reports which help us improve our websites. Loopfuse Cookies

Cookies deployed

LOOPFUSE – (expires in 365 days)
Coyote-X-XXXXXXXX (expires when the visitor leaves the website)

Loopfuse cookies track known individuals on our websites. After a registration is made on our website or an email address is given to us, we track what that user does on our websites. This helps us build a profile of users’ interests.

What are the main benefits of cookies?

  • Cookies improve the user experience
    • Cookies improve the user experience by remembering key information that the user has provided to us, so the user does not need to re-enter the information every time they access the website. For example, if you fill in a form to download a Telstra white paper, we can store that information in a cookie, so that for all future white papers you download, you will not have to re-enter the same details.
  • Cookies allow us to use aggregate data to improve our websites.
    • Cookies help us to identify the content our audience finds most interesting so we can produce more of it. For example, if we notice our audience is focusing more attention on related to a particular service in a month, we will plan to produce more of that content in the future.
